how bad would it be to only use 5 bolts for the clutch?

i'm thinking its a no-go until i can get another bolt... or maybe some other solution.

but would it be allright to put the clutch on with only 5 of the 6 bolts? Again, i dont think so, but i have to ask, it would save me a lot of time.

I wouldn't do it, myself. Using only 5 of the 6 bolts is going to affect the balance, as well as the strength.. Granted, the change would be very slight, nonetheless there's no sense in doing that particular job any way but the right way while the transmission is off, eh?
What happenned to one of the bolts? If it's one of the "reamer" bolts, you definitely want to replace it.

Running with any of those bolts missing ius just begging for disaster. I would think that at the very least you would warp your pressure plate. At the worst the P plate might part company with the flywheel. (Unlikely, but not something I would take a chance on)
I say take the time to do it right so you don't have to do it over, along with who knows how much extra repair.

Yeah, get another bolt.
