Holley or Webber?
I've got a holley 465 with RB intake on a 12a bridgeport.
Its been jetted and if hovering around 4000rpm, if I pin it, I get plenty of torque right threw to what ever i take it to. (normally about 6500rpm) I've heard that the holley is more fuel efficient because of the way the secondaries work or sometin? And a webber is much more of a guzlar. 240fwhp is what it dyno'd at with the current setup. Is a webber really any better? heb. |
i got weber..
yeh guzle down alot of fuel :( but.. it sounds mad.. and.. nice clean engine bay.. plus.. more HP.. over holley.. anyone will tell u that.. but.. fuel :( but.. its good. but then again. its bad |
dude, holley all the way. 650 double in a race ported 12a. nothin better, and looks so sweet.

Heb09 you see 240 hp at the wheels, with a bridge port and a hotty 465, what else have you doene to see that, i want to build mine to 200-220 ho at the wheels, but 240 whould be great

Never heard of a Webber, is it a cheap Chinese copy import with a 3Km warranty?

I have a holley 650 DP on my 13B street port. Should I switch to a holley? Wanna go blow-through soon..

A 465 is undersized for a BP.

I have had both.
For better economy the Holley is the way to go. I like the Weber's simplicity though, it is very easy to work with. |
240 at the flywheel is still very good, still better than the factory or mild motor
|
Weber is VERY nice makes killer power and sounds ohh sooo mean at WOT.
|
My Weber is pretty quiet, damn turbo and intercooler get in the way ;)
|
Webers look good. My engine bay.

Do the RB Holley 650 setup. Easy & Great Performance for StreetPort,BridgePort, and other mods to include the RB Exaust System. Oil Mods, RB Clutch System and more+more. Too much More!!!
I just got my motor back from Pinnaple Racing in Portland, OR and they did a Kick Ass Job. Rob Golden and his Team really know there shit. You can alway's get add'l parts and mods for the Holley. The others take a little work to find. RB Holley Setup all the way. Just My Input. And I'm sure every other RotorHead has there own preference. Have Fun!!! Steve sgieldon P.S. Happy New Year. Damn I'm Hung Over. |

Not when were talkin BP. Look at what RB sells for a BP. Its a 600, and theres a reason. You decent milage is cause your ports are choked off with a small carb. The overlap will cause the brap. Could be half or full BP.
|
so I'm loosing hp :( dammit!
|
I ran the Holley 600 DP on my Streetport...ran OK...added the Weber powerplate...ran better....got a 48 IDA....WAAAAYYY better. Smoother off idle...crisp responce ( my holley bogged like a bastard), revs a bit faster, doesn't stumble out of ANY turns...Holleys run like shit when you drive hard and fast and try to turn (especially left!) and doesn't eat too much gas if you learn how to drive it. A MUCH BETTER CARB
|
^center hung floats, a different accelerator pump cam, and maybe a different set of jets would have solved your holley problems.
Once you learn how to tune a holley properly they are great. Webers are easier though. I ran a holley 600 dp on my TII and mad great power. I am almost duplicating that setup on my '80. |
