Get yourself a set of Cibie or Hella e-code lenses. Glass lens with a proper metal reflector. http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=739

Sgt Fox, headlight upgrade is on my list. I've no need for "blinding bright" lights, but want better than the stockers. Would you reccomend the basic H-4 halogen kit?

not HIDs but these are what I have in one of my RX-3. not blinding but better night driving

I personally use the e-code (this is important, better light output and sharper cutoff than the dot version) hella H4 housings, with a 55/60W Phillips XtraVision bulb. You could also use a silverstar bulb or something along those lines.

Thanks

Thanks, noted and added to my "mods" binder.

Hey Wackyracer, what kinda lights are those? Whats with the "ring" in the first two pics? Kinda cool, but doesn't look like much light.

Looks like BMW style "angel eye" kits. They are all over the BMW forums at different quality levels. Some are know to cause fires...

thanks for the heads up bro. I will keep that in mind.

I just installed my HID's on the FC and for some reason it only works when I have my brights on. That doesn't seem right does it?

Thanks to HIDextra for the great pricing for rx7club members. I picked up the H4 kit with the xenon lows and halogen highs. I figured how often do I use the highs? Not enough...I can save some cash...why not. I picked the 6000K bulbs.

The kit is pretty self explanatory and pretty much PnP. You may have to fiddle around a bit with is a couple times but it all worked out.

I am pleased...but man they are BRIGHT! Maybe too bright? Who knows....but yes I am happy. Def not "period correct" but a nice upgrade and hey I can say it was done for safety sake right?

I have the same exact kit from HIDEXTRAS.COM and mine only works when I have my brights on. Is that a problem or is that normal?

Those appear too bright.

well after driving over 1000 miles a few days ago in my brother's Rx-7 with stock lighting, i'll be sure to tell him to get these. :) the stock lights are so pathetic, even at times when i had the high beams on, no one flashed me from oncoming traffic to turn them off. :(

i had upgraded my headlights to the Hella bulbs a few years back and they were great! also, Victoria British/Black Dragon sells a wiring upgrade. i bought it, but never had the chance to install it before i crashed my car. needless to say it will go on my next street Rx-7.
