HID Beams

has anyone actually put like BMW hid on your first gen???

Unless you can get a hefty price for those valve stem caps at Doc Holliday's, I doubt you can afford to buy real HID's. Them fuckers is expensive. Last time I priced them I could have the pleasure of paying $600, and get to rewire the entire system and have to figure out a way to mount it inside the popup.

yeah it can be done im thinking(hopefully)for around 350 or less with a little fabrication. i plan on doing this on my 85, what your gonna need is ahid kit, ive found them on ebay at a reasonable price(not sure yet on the quality) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=36476 and some sort of projector(i bought a set of accord projectors that had a cracked housing for $50) and then find some way to get them installed,im planning on doing the sleepy eye conversion

well you can find a bmw in a junkyard and rip off everything you need there

Let me know which "Junkyard" you find that will sell them to you. There aren't any junkyards in Austin that even buy BMWs from the same decade as the HID BMWs. And, for the kicker, the used parts places that sell the shit don't knock off much compared to new.
