I know someone 60years old who wants to get those for his GSL-SE. Now that is just funny. He acts like a 16year old!!

Defprun 08-28-02 06:41 PM

They're neat if you own a Stock Cavalier or a Malibu :D

Manntis 08-28-02 06:47 PM

*wipes away a laughter tear*

(hope you read my cavalier post earlier)

jr69187 08-28-02 07:00 PM

As far as accessories go, to each their own, Jr.

Wasn't laughing @ you, but @ stock cavaliers :)

peejay 08-28-02 08:36 PM

why is this a poll? and how come we don't have a "rice" section? (oh wait, it's because this isn't a hyundai/kia/cavalier forum :D )

Tell ya whut puts on flame-proof suit once in a while an idea comes from the Honda rice contingency that actually is cool. This is one of them. If you see them at night, live and for yourself, you'll see what I mean. It's a neat effect...

Redwood 08-29-02 11:12 AM

I think they're pretty cool. I wouldn't want a pair since my car has been made to not be flashy, but on a nice car they'd make a nice accent. Not usually a fan of light mods, but this one is neat. Cool that they only light up when moving and not at a stop.

ioTus 08-29-02 11:21 AM

So long as it matches the coloring schemes of the rest of your car, it would look tight!!

Just watch out for Po po tho, they really dont like them, at least where i live!! (They also pegged my friend with the "Its illegal to have red or blue lights on your car, those are for emergency vehicles".

For gods sake, red is for brake lights, wtf is he talking about!?

ALso tell me something, how can they feel that accent lighting on passenger cars is any more distracting than the blue, red and white flashing spinning and NOISY sound that so many cars have. You all know what cars i'm talking about. The ultimate eyesores of all. THe cops!! They are the most distracting thing on the road if you ask me.

Just a cop pulling someone over can cause a traffic jam of curious bypassers.

Anyways off to class.

Hey ioTus, are you at WSU? What year are you?

Defprun 08-29-02 04:36 PM

But cops are distracting for a reason, but what about those eyesore transport trucks!

peejay 08-29-02 05:49 PM

blue lighting on anything but a police car = rice.... that's just the way it works! ricers now have a patent on the blue part of the light spectrum.

i do not know why. that's just the way it is. and you have not lived (died) until you saw a blue WRX with blue and yellow neons in the hood scoop vent as well as all along the underside of the car and in the interior... as well as the blue valve stem lights. Poor, poor WRX...

mar3 08-29-02 05:56 PM

Take out the yellow neons and that would actually be a nice WRX....

xlversatilelx 05-19-03 06:28 AM

no seriously what the hell, i guess i would understand you buying them and trying to sell them on e bay, because yeah a lot of stupid people buy stupid shit, but why do you actually use them?? i mean its ugly, its catches peoples eyes beacuse its ugly seriously, im sorry but no man those are i dont know take it off your car

Directfreak 05-19-03 07:52 AM

Please don't bring old threads back from the dead.
Especially useless ones.

They're ok, if you WANT to attract more attention to your car, including cops.

You have to think about it....even if there were 5 Ferraris near you, an you drove by in a Geo Metro with those valve stem lights, everyone would pause, and check out your car. (remember, including cops).

As for selling them on Ebay, don't bother.

Chances are you have bought them from some auto parts store, for $10-20+ a set. People already sell thousands of those on Ebay, and they can buy them for $3 a set, and sell for much less than you could.

You'd just end up wasting the money to list the item.

Anyways, personally, I don't think the lights are all that bad....I've just gotten tired of getting pulled over for the stupid $9.99 mods I would put on my Honda Accord that caught the attention of the police. It's your choice.

tjgosurf 05-22-04 02:54 AM

Ok I used to own those on my car, and they will wear out fairly quick. And they rust. Sometimes they dont even work at all. My advice is to avoid them, and if you already bought them sell them to a kid for his bike.
