hey need help

im gettin an 85 gsl tmrw with a rebuilt 12a in it out of a 79. with rotary engineering dual carbs. it needs a distributor tho. is there any way to delete the dizzy and make it like the 13b with the coils? does anyone know where to get a cheaper dizzy for one and have a wire diagram for the dizzy? the old dizzy burned up from wrong wiring. thank you

i would just get a dizzy from an 85..its better. and if the car itself is an 85 then it should wire right up.

:AA:

what did the guy have to do to screw up the wiring to burn up the old dizzy? even if it wires right up the wiring on the harness is wrong.

You can't delete the dizzy unless you go EFI and thats a whole another
ballgame. How can the dizzy be bad, theres not much there accept
vac advance, mech advacne and a reluctor and pickups.

I guess the igniters on the 81-85 dizzys could be bad but those suck
anyway. The 2G coil is not bad but go to the link for TFIDFIS in my sig
and theres some wiring diagrams that will probably help you out some.
It doesn't cover the stock igniters but gives you the basics for wiring up
the dizzy to run your ignition. Plus its a better setup than the 2G coil.

how would all that cost to do you think? i have maybe 200 to play with. ive seen a couple of dizzys on ebay. but this looks promising and if others like it ill try it
