the little metal box shape thing that holds the turn signals and wipers is loose and turns every time i turn the wheel.... how do i fix this... and if i need to replace it does any one have it for sale... its for my 84

Take the cover off and tighten the screw on the band clamp.

yeah, that about sums it up. I hope you dont mean the components inside the conbination switch assembly are loose becuase that can be quite a task to put back together!! I started to disect one once in my automotive traing course, and the teacher goes "What are you doing?!?" "Those are ordered as an assembly, dont waste your time." Although that was for a GM car, a 90's Caprice I think it was..

Im looking at the RX7 shop manual now, all it refers to is the combination switch assembly, and thats all. Theres absolutely nothing baout trying to reassemble one...

I've taken mine apart, and repaired it. My window washer didn't work when I baught the car and I tracked the problem to the combination switch. I certainly didn't want to replace the whole thing so I took it apart and found a tiny little plastic tab broken. I glued in a little plastic foot I found in a drawer, from a phone or something, put it back together. It wasn't really that hard and it's still working. :fawk:
