HELP> removing wiper switch assmbly??

I am trying to remove the switch assembly on an 84 GSL-SE. I have the steering wheel off and have removed the screw which tightens the assembly down onto the wheel. Yet still I cannot get the switch assembly off of there! I cannot find any damn screws which might still be holding it on, yet it is damn firmly on there...is there something that I am missing?

Thanks

There is a knotch of metal that goes into the stearing housing. The further you pull the bracket away from where the screw went in the losser it should be.

Thanks....though I found out the hard way about the notch. The notch is plastic and goes into a hole in the steering shaft to keep the whole thing center and from spinning. I forced the damn thing and broke the plastic. But, when I put it back on I just slid it where it should be, the notch in the whole, and the force of the ring clamp was enough to hold it in place and keep the assembly from moving.

It was some work getting all the damn thing rebuilt, but now I've got functioning brites and squirter, so I'm happy.

Right on!
