Most likely you unsprung your clutch disk.

I wouldn't drive the car until you get the transmission out and look at the cluch/pressure plate.

well if i was to drop the transmission, i would go ahead and replace the 3 main parts, the plates and baring. I know victoria british has a 3 n 1 kit says comes with cover , disc, and release baring, can someone recomend a clutch replacment type kit anywhere online that is better than stock? Thank guys your allways a big help!

You match you clutch type to the style of driving and HP.
Example, if your car is within 15% of stock horsepower and you street drive a Mazda stock clutch or Dakin clutch package is fine.

If you race a Spec7/PRO7 then a 4 puck unsprung clutch with a stock pressure plate is a good choice.

If you are street driving you will want a light clutch pedal and a sprung clutch disk.

Anyways,

same thing happened to me, the friction material separted from the clutch disk. If you have an old clutch disk that sat for an extended time the friction material could just fall off, that happened to me too with an SE that sat for a while.

this is stil the orignal clutch and it sat for awhile , has 92k on it, i put the 2000 on it so far, drove it hard a few, maybe 20 times :) so i guess it was bound to happen
