ok so i was driving to milwaukee today and then i noticed that my engine temp was really high so i pulled over about 30 min from my place and yup it is hot as the devilo in there and the cap on the reserve tank blew off. so i look and try to let it cool and run the efan whil in the shade then i try to start after adding more coolant and still overheating and i notice that the pully in the middle right below the alt and right above the bottom one wont turn at all? is this the water pump and any suggestions? do i need to replacve it and if so is it hard? tyhanks guys

Water pump. Not hard to change, but takes a little time. If you have (or had) A/C, the A/C pully has to come off before the water pump pully will slide off.

Should only take a few hours max to change the water pump and only $75 or so.

Buy a Haynes manual. I've found mine to be pretty accurate, at least with the engine. It'll be your best friend when working on your car.

Water pump replacement is pretty easy. Just have to take the fan and pully off. The alt has to be loosened, as the adjustment arm bolts to one of the WP mounting bolts. And the A/C pully (if equiped) has to come off, before the WP pully can be removed.
The hardest part of replacing a WP, is being careful to not let the front water housing get disturbed, as it mounts using 4 studs that also act as WP mounting locations. The water housing does not need to come off, nor do the radiator hoses, unless you disturb it and damage the gasket behind it. This gasket rarely comes with a replacement pump.
Sometimes it is not possible to clean the old WP gasket off without disturbing this housing to block seal, but you can put a couple of the nuts back on to help hold it in place while scraping the gasket.

You may need to take the main drive pulley off too. That's the one behind the AC pulley Rogue_Wulff mentioned. It's a little too large to remove/install the entire waterpump unit including housing. I'm not sure for just the impeller part. It's just four 10mm bolts down there and I did remove it when I changed the impeller part on my bro's GSL-SE.

The main pully doesn't have to come off to pull just the pump, however, it is held on by the same bolts as the A/C pully. If you remove the main pully, be sure to mark it, so you can replace it in the same position, or your timing marks will not line up correctly.
Pulling the entire water housing requires fully removing the alt and smog pump (if still equiped) along with both hoses and the electrical connector on the back, under the top hose outlet. Takes a little longer, and you should replace the gasket, but it is not always needed to be done in this manner.
