what's the best place to buy a 12a rebuilt engine that is reliable and for under $1,500

A $1500 rebuild generally doesn't include new housings and rotors. I would look for a good used engine with low miles at a wrecking yard or buy a good runner and swap the motor out.
Lots of people do rebuilds for $1500 or less, but they usaully are lapping the side plates, new seals, but re-using everything else. These rebuilds can last 6 months to year in my opinion. http://www.rotarywarehouse.com/ http://www.hurley-engineering.ltd.uk/default.aspx http://corksport.com/page/17zl5/Home.html There are many others. my 2 cents |
try atkins rotary. they build excellent engines!!

twinkle's motor only has like 80,000 on the clock but a major seal is leaking cuz it was in storage for ten years, so the motor should be more than fine besides the seal.........he could probably afford getting a run-of-the mill rebuild dont you think?
hey bud, try rotarywarehouse, the stage 2 with 250 for shipping sounds perfect(you need those gaskets so stage one is a no-go and the parts sound good) and they seem very genuine, call them up instead of email to get a feel for what he is like...rotary resurrection sounds good too, but i think the first one sounds the most promising........ |
