HeLp !?!

I was going to start my 83 FB and the dash lights came on for a second, I heard a 'click' and everything went dead... No power at all. Battery is almost new and I have excellent voltage. I am thinking it might be the fusible link but where in the hell is it?
This is my daily driver.....

Hi.

I used to have this problem as well with my '90 RX-7. I thought it was a loose power terminal or somthing I couldn't figure the thing out. I finally pulled the battery out and replaced it with a brand new one and it worked everytime. If it has held a good charge I have also had to add water to my battery when it got low for some reason and it worked perfectly after that. Just a hunch but if you have already tested that then disregard my post.

Hi Dan, well I tested my battery with a load tester, it was good. I was driving all over today was going well, went to connect a timing light to my #1 lead plug and start the car, lights came on then click....went out, no power. But thanks for replying.

Fusible links are located on the driver's side strut tower in the engine bay. Most likely it is the one in the middle (if your's is the same as mine).

Could be from a loose connection at the battery, or on the engine/starter (depending on hot or ground). One very likely suspect would be where the cables go into the battery terminals, especially if they are the replacement style.
A bad fuse link is another possibility. As is the smaller wire on the positive terminal.

Whew !! I got it! My God, I was trippin' out. Had a few loose connections, both at the battery and the fusible link. Thanks guys, this is a cool group of people to associate with.
