Hello Everyone

Just became a member and just wanted to say hello to everyone. My first car way back was an 81 RX-7 and since that day I have been hooked on rotary! I had to sell the car as the body was dieing on it but the engine was still going strong with almost 300,000 KMs. After that I picked up a 1980 RX-7 which only lasted me a year before the engine seized on me. I got rid of it as it was and drove my mothers car for a while. About 8 years ago I picked up a 1979 RX-7 and had it modified at Mazdees in Scarborough Ontario (They have moved to Pickering now) by Dave Diedrick, he does Great work! Therefore I currently had a '79 RX-7 with an 85 13B GSL-SE 6 Port, street ported, racing beat intake with a Mikuni Carb, exhaust is also racing beat with 2 pre-silencers, and a lightened racing flywheel and clutch.

My wife has something against that car and wants me to sell it, actually she's wanted me to sell it for the past 6 years. Needless to say I am having trouble doing so. It recently has been stored for almost 2 years but I do start it up to keep it lubricated, but I found out last week that one of my secondary ports actuator will not budge. I've decided that I will not be selling it at this time and would like to do some more work to it, starting with a tuneup. Since it has all the engine work done all I need now is to get some disc brakes in the back and some more suspension work.

Sorry about rambling on but I wanted to give you guys some history so that when I ask questions you'll know where I'm coming from. I do understand thr rotary engine and the performance parts that go in them but I am weak on doing any of my own work on them so questions I will have. Guess that's it for now.

Hmmm...could work but I would rather put money towards another part of the car rather then into a new Racing Clutch.
