ive got em on my gls-se, but not on my good car...i think they're kinda useless.

All Australian Series 2's and 3's have them. I think Canadian models also have them but no US ones do.

i think all cdn models do have them yes...does anyone know how to repair them...i have always wanted them to work but have not put too much time into them

REVHED 07-31-03 03:26 AM

It's pretty simple. If they don't work then it probably means the motor's stuffed or it's not getting power. If I remember right it's exactly like the one used for the windshield washer.

I have em on my gen 1 series II

Mr_Rx7_Au 07-31-03 09:46 AM

Yes I got em on my Series III. Rx7's in Oz have em. To use them push the appropriate console button down.

Forgot which one it is coz i aint done it for ages. In fact I think it even might be the headlight up/retract swith or even on the headlight arm stork

My 84 GSL-SE has them, and my 83 GX also had them. I had to fix mine on both cars. On my 83 GX, the motor was seized because water got past the seal between the motor and the washer tank. I took it apart, cleaned it with brake cleaner, lubed the bushings on each end and it worked fine. As for my GSL-SE, a wire at the connector in back of the passenger side headlamp had corroded so badly that it snapped off. If your motor is seized like mine was, the fuse under the dash probably also blew. Check the fuse, push the switch and watch your voltmeter in the dash, if it dosn't make any noise but your voltage goes down your motor is seized. If your lucky not too much water went inside and it should be pretty straightforward to clean and rebuild. Good luck
