Has anyone put a old 626 digital dash in a FB?

A Honda kid I go to school with is a whore for digital dashes, and well he kind of got me in to them. I know it be a little bit of electrical work, but I think it would look kind of bad ass... though tracking down the digital dash it proving to be kind of hard. Guess the sixtwosixers like their digital dashes too.

If you would this... (626)

Or this... (323)

That would look terrible imo

I'm all for modernizing and am huge into the digital age stuff. But I fell in love with my 84 cluster and wont ever change it - and never would. Not to mention, the wires would be easy. It's the conversion from analog input to digital output that's the huge issue.

hmm interesting idea, i've never heard of that before and i've heard of everything (seems like). finding 626 stuff will be hard, people threw those away.

i would bet that the dash uses the same analog sensors as the regular dash, so wiring aside it should work

I love the C4 Dash as well...

My mistake, thought they would have switched over. If that's the case I'm a little more interested...

I do like 300 dash as well, the only problem is IDK how it would fit.

The old Prelude look cool too...

You see I have an 82 cluster, and I can only go 85 mph lol Though I love my dash, and its 80's age yellow... I want that 323 dash more.

I came up with something new? Shoot I'll drink one for that  haha

The 323 dash will be vary vary hard only 2 years I think? Let alone it being a extra add on too, but where there is a will there will be away.

The only thing that will be hard is getting the gauge to right... but then I again the one photoed is in C...

the 323GT and GTX are really rare, they imported something like 1200 GTX's, and the digital dash was a (rare) option.

Gotta love that Vette one...

Gotta love that Vette one. 85MPH speedo and what looks like an under 5k redline or maybe that's the yellow zone. Zora must have spun in his grave.

wahootee 10-16-12 08:58 PM

I got a 86 626 GT digital dash if you want to buy it. I was hoping to run across another 86-87 626 GT someday, but so far 10 years into my search I doubt I will.

The Vette one is nice, but you did read it right with the 85mph speedo and 5K redline. Chev V8's of the time of that dash were definitely not high revving engines. 305's and 350's alike were generally redlined at 5K or under.

reminds me of GM's attempt to be "with it" when they labelled the fuel gauge, the "fuel data management center".

I mean shit man, all we want is a car the is reliable, fixable, and performable.........we don't need no stinking "fuel data management center"......just a simple fuel gauge will do.............then there was the talking cars........"your door is open"
