haltech and ITB's

Hey guys, Anyone have a haltech and ITB or just efi/ITB's in general?

I havent messed with mine in quite some time, 3-4 years, and forgot a lot of stuff. Im digging back into the car and wouldnt mind bouncing a few ideas off someone.

I have a haltech and turbo on my first gen... No ITB's.

What are you doing with yours?

not turbo anymore, miss it.

I was syncing the ITB's up this weekend. Wasn't really sure how necessary it is to do.

I have some gripes about how the car starts and idles also. What version of haltech are you running? Ive got an old e6x

Took it for a spin today, I wasnt really driving it hard but I gassed it a little and was pleased with the results of my efforts.

I get an ok idle at 10btdc with a 10degree split between 900/1k rpms. It still starts pretty shitty. I have to keep the starter engaged for about 3 times as long as you normally would while it spins up an and idles. it reminds me of old movies where prop airplane motors slowly sputter to life.

I am running a new Sprint RE.

I would not think that synching the ITB's would matter as long as the injectors are under the butterflies..

Injection setup

Hey mate im running a Mircotech LT10S on my 12a bridgeport with 50mm ITBs, you should be able to get it to start and run straight off the key with EFI. the best thing i did to get mine to start and idle well was adding more and more fuel in the cold start functions as the temperature got lower and lower.

So at 4degrees celcius i would add 30% more fuel but then at 20degrees it would only be 15% extra fuel etc....

also the crank functions help too. they add a bit of extra fuel to get the car started and continue to add a bit for a short period.

Im sure these functions would carry over to most ecu's too.

also, not sure if yours is ported or not but im running 15 degrees timing at idle and it doesnt like it much lower.

hope some of this helps?

Regards,

luke
