GSL-SE Will it run?

Ok, i did a search but did not find anything helpful. I was replacing all of the rubber hose on my 85 gsl-se with silicone hose (vaccuum hoses). I accidentally snapped off one of the "nipples" on the canister which resides directly below the intake plenum on the center of the top of the middle iron housing. It connects between the spider and the air control valve on the back of the dynamic intake chamber. My question is will the car run without this piece? I have a used one on its way off of ebay, but i need to use the car between now and when it gets here, if possible. Can i just connect the hose directly to the bac valve? In the diagram from the 85 service manual it is labled as chamber (how descriptive). Any and all responses welcome...thanks guys

i'll have to try that but plastic adhesive already didn't work. I've never had much success with jb weld and plastic.

Yes, it should run. That chamber is there to give the BAC vacuum systems some volume. If it wasn't present, the BAC would be impossible to control. I would just connect the lines together for now. I would probably also disconnect the electrical connection for the vent/vacuum solenoids that control it (it is the plug with 3 terminals for the 2 black cylinder looking solenoids) since the BAC probably won't control welll without that chamber. You may have to bump up the idle a bit (use the screw on the top of the TB or adjust the throttle linkage to hold the thottle open slightly). Probably 1000 rpm will do it. That way when you put on extra load (PS, more load on alt, etc.), the engine won't stall.
