GSL-SE Spark Plugs
 

I'm wondering which plugs would be the best for my car. The motor is bone stock but I am running the MSD Blaster II coils. The wires will be the NGK wires. I was thinking about getting the ngk power cable wires but they seem hard to find.

Should I run the stock BR8EQ-14 plugs or is there something better?

2nd gen leading plugs with the blaster 2. That's what I'm runnin and love it. But I'm runnin dfis. If ur runnin the plugs from the dizzy stock plugs are what u need.

I am still running the plugs through the dizzy.

me too. upgrade would be the Rx8 plugs, but they are spendy

Don't hate me for this one, but I'm using the Autolite 2526 plugs.

They seem ok. I had some 'old' NGK's in my 12a. All I can say is that my pre-silencer has some holes in it and I'm noticing less backfiring.

you were getting the backfiring because the plugs were old. plugs need to be changed often. i change mine every two years or 12 thoushand miles or less if i see wear. a lot of mixed reviews here from autolite plugs. one member claims to have lost an engine from them a few years back. i personally stick with th eNGK plug that came with the car and thats reccomended for the engine. autolites will work but are a cheap alternative and will not last reliably in a rotary.

the autolite plugs aren't so hot for a stock ignition, they run a BIG and inconsistent gap (measure 4 if you're lucky 2 will match)

they do have an application in a non stock situation, when you're using a CDI (MSD or other), the MSD will fire a big gapped plug.

so they do have a place, i ran them on the P port initially, but i would not use them on a stock ignition

I appreciate the advice, I will look into it. On another note, the new NGK's are visibly different plugs. the old NGK's had 4 gaps or paths for a spark to travel where as the new ones are down to a single path. I don't know when this happened but, It might be worth looking into as well. This observation did influence my decision because the new design looks cheaper to manufacture. I did also take the time to make sure all the gaps were to the proper spacing and one of the four did need to be adjusted.

well shoot, I looked it up on the NGK website awhile back and that was not the picture I saw. YES get those PLUGS. those are good ones. Now that I know where to get them, guess what I'm going to do. Just want to say sorry for the miss information. Thank-you for the correction.
