GSL SE Rear Caliper Boots

Are these rubbers still available anywhere? They don't come with any of the rebuild kits that I can find.

Thanks

That's a tough one, I'd have to guess not if you can't find them with rebuild kits. Best bet might be to start searching for rebuild kits that have similar boots and try to find one that'll work. Then post back here with your findings!

Mazdatrix still offers the complete rear caliper rear kit with what you're looking for on their site. Local Mazda dealer may also.

https://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s...per+Repair+Kit Is this what you're looking for?

Atkins does as well. The trick I have been trying to figure out is where to find the gsl boots. GSL-SE ones must be popular enough still to warrant including them in the kits.

Only place I could find the GSL ones was buying reman'd calipers from napa (which includes the boots)

Can you point out the difference in GSL and SE rear calipers-other than the part of the caliper casting that is specific to SE and GSL. Housing for SE is longer to accommodate wider ventilated rotor. Parking brake section of caliper is identical. The complete kit you see on Mazdatrix & Atkins site can be used to service both GSL & SE calipers as pistons/bores/seals are same on each.

I am actually trying to figure that out myself. I figured there had to be a minor difference (piston bore size?) between the -se and gsl. I have a number of gsl calipers that I can tear down and inspect at some point in the near future if you want some numbers for comparison. Knowing how Mazda usually treats parts of similar dimensions, I would suspect that they are not directly interchangeable.

Was being sarcastic... all soft/hard service parts are interchangeable. Have used GSL parts to repair SE calipers and other way around over the years.

Well shoot. A cold and the lack of a sarcasm font did me in there.... good to know though! Thanks

I bought my caliper rebuild kits from Atkins but have not been able to find the rubber boots for the slider pins. All of those are shredded on my existing calipers, and the slider pins do not appear to be the same as the ones on my GSL calipers. The slider pin boots do not appear to be available through any of the sources I have found.

This is something that I completely forgot to update, but in case someone else is looking in the future, I was able to use the slider pin rubber boot kit from an FC with small brakes and it worked well enough.

And this was for the rear calipers?
