Gsl-se in PULP FICTION!

I was watching pulp fiction last night and low and behold in the scene where they take the car to have it crushed after they clean it there is a baby metalic blue GSL-SE sitting sideways in a pile of cars....it looked nice. What a waste.

sjd 05-08-05 07:25 AM

Hmm, I've never noticed that before. Of course I haven't watched it since I bought my RX-7 3 months ago. Time to throw in the DVD.

H4Inf 05-08-05 07:27 AM

Awesome, :D speaking of baby blue 1st gens, I saw one today :D This is like the first 1st-gen rx7 i have seen in my area up close at low speed. Gave a wave, got one back :bigthumb:

Ocelot 05-08-05 07:38 AM

Yeah I was watching that the other day and noticed it as well. I was going to post up about it, but there was already that rx7 in films thread and it seemed like everything anyone posted was already a repost, so i figured such a popular movie would have a lot of posts about it.

I saw a red 1st gen in "COPS" last night...LOL

speedracer_not 05-08-05 01:48 PM

I saw a 1st gen in "basic instinct", the scene where michael douglas chases sharon stone's lotus elite up the PCH in his mustang.

Also in the opening of "whose life is it" released in 1982 , a 1st gen crashes into a tanker trailor and the driver is crippled the head down.

"Bad Influence" and a 2nd gen white convertable.

comradegiant 05-08-05 03:59 PM

Just because I just noticed it: at the very end of Ghost Dog there is a red FD.

Mschafe 05-08-05 09:43 PM

Yeah, its funny how I instantly notice them now... like the *TWO* Rx7's in The Italian Job, and of course the one in Pulp Fiction, I JUST noticed for the first time last week.. funny..

There are several shots of a white SA in the Cannonball Run. You can see it during the scenes before the start of the race at the hotel.

I can't remember the name of the movie, it's on FX sometimes and it's from the 80's. but it has an 84 or 85 Rx7 in a parking garrage, just before a big chase scene between Arnold Schwachnegger and a black women in a small red european sports car and a bad guy in a yellow 911 porsche. The rx7's not in the chase though.

DeRFmAn 06-11-05 05:40 PM

that movie was called commando and yeah I saw it too

Wankelguy 06-11-05 06:35 PM

In "The Rock", a streetcar smashes into a REPU, and in "Colors" the bad guys run into a yellow RX3 sitting up on blocks.

Hollywood be hatin' on the rotaries.

kiker14 06-11-05 07:22 PM

don't forget about the red FD in office space! (which unfortunatly is the movie that will personify my life after college)

...it's my swingline stapela' you can't have it

Wankelguy 06-11-05 07:56 PM

FD? I'm sorry, I must have mistaken this for an old-school board.

comradegiant 06-12-05 04:42 PM

There were quite a few 1st gens you can catch glimpses of in Cannonball Run.

rotorizit 06-12-05 05:10 PM

Hell yes I have pulp fiction, And i love that scene. Also in the movie "REMOTE CONTROL" from '87 there is a s5 red gxl. Crappy movie but the rx7 is in several scenes.
