gsl-se in junkyard wars
in there yard during the jw goes to the movies, when the monster(red team) is looking for golf balls/ ammo, there is a very clear shot of an SE rim hangin from a car smashed in the middle of a pile of cars
just a heads up if u catch another showing of it |
I was watching that, but I missed the rex. oh well, looks like ill be watching the re-run tomorrow (or whenever it is supposed to be) :p:
|
I THOUGHT I SAW THAT!!! HAHA... I was going to post a pic to the forum, but I forgot to record it.. Poor FB... :(
|
i missed it. anyone have a pic or video of it?

Does anyone really believe that they build that stuff in a single day?
We have all done little projects to our cars and we all know it takes longer the 12 hours to build a tractor/boat/drag racer etc. |
Sorry, a little off topic, but yesterday i was snowboarding, and there was an SE (my first time seeing one) in the parking lot at the pass. That guy is crazy to drive that car in the snow, up in the mountains.
|
Ya no kiddin. Salt and sand just makes me kringe inside. Theres no way I'd pump money into my rex and then drive it in the winter.

I don't think sevens were made for Canadian winters......

oh yeah man, I built my go-kart in like 5 hours total by myself, and it was pretty complicated...
then again, I had a full shop, access to 4 lathes, 2 MIG welders, a plasma cutter, torch, chop saw, etc etc.... it's very possible though... you just have to be a good "botcher" ;) |
Tanjo, what color was the SE?
I go up to Snoqualmie quite a bit.. could've been me. |
Do you think they have the parts already available to them?? IE not have to drive around that heap to "find" parts for their projects.
When they were building the tractors they suddenly "found" two PERFECT R1 Rice paddy Tractor Tires already mounted in perfect condition ready to go. |
yeah, I think it's rigged, but otherwise it's entertaining.... 'cause having two tractor tires isn't going to do you much good if you can't build anything to put them on.
|
It is quite real. They have any tool you might need to get the job done. There is also an endless supply of rechargable batteries for the cordless tools. As for the junkyard itself, it is made on an old parking lot that the company bought. The parts are all placed beforehand. They are just hidden to make it more interesting. The reason that it takes us a long time to do a project is because we want it done right and safely. The teams on JW don't care. If something breaks, use the fix everything tool, duct tape.
