Under My Belt!!

So I dont think my car is that fast but man ived whooped some ***!!
Here is a list of cars that have been smoked by my 7!
1. another 1st gen 7 12A all emissions removed
3" exhaust and that was all i could see
2. one FC mods were cone filter, cut exhaust
and that was all i could see again
3. i know yall were waiting for the FD but
i havent ran one yet! probably loose!
4. couple of TC some with bolt-ons others
stock but non can take the 7 down!
5. a 93 integra with a B16 VTEC swap
with GSR tranny and i dont know what else
6. a civic coupe with Ls swaped to that with
i dont know what transmission
7. a civic hatch back with Ls swap with bolt
ons and wat not
8. Ford Probe i dont know what he had
but he was pretty confident he could take
me down he wanted like five rematch!
9. 2001 mitzubishi Eclips i dont know how to
spell that i dont know if 4 or 6 cyl
10. a nissan 300zx that had body kit looked prety
clean and got him by like half a car!
11. a nissan 240sx with a N/A SR20 and
couple of bolt ons berly got him!
This is just to show how our cars compare to some other car being over 20 years old, and my car only has 194*** thousand miles, and a 6 puck clutch, dlidfis, cone filter, 2-1/2 inch exhaust, stripped the hell out the car, ( exept the conforts of the Front from the storage bins forward on interior) electric fan, and 6 port inserts, wich brings me to my question after installment of the inserts i messed something up and had them roll shut, i fixed that yesterday and when i pulled them they had the indentation on where they were supposed to be opened, but i dont feel much if any difference, is not like i expected a lot but i expected something! and if any body can give my a digram and directions of how to remove the rats nest just trying to make my car as fast as possible, any advice would be apreciated, thanks and sorry for the long thread!

I removed mine on my old SE. Completely cleaned inside intake, removed sleeves, removed rods and covered holes with JB weld. I noticed next to no low end loss and a whole lot of top end gain.

If you want to keep the 6 ports operating, the intake and ports need to be cleaned thoroughly and the proper back preasure needs to be present in your exhaust to work the actuators.

The six-port design is a good idea, just poor execution. Over time the carbon buildup and exhaust wear contributes to poor operation and crappy intake flow.

I found it easier to just remove them.

Good luck

13B,
and that intake setup looks pretty sick!!
my friend has a brand new never used compleat intake manifold from
a fc if i can get it i will deffenetly go do that setup!!

I would recommend not removing the rats nest from your SE. There is no advantage for power and you can mess up the way the car runs. There are 2 silinoids that you have to keep.

I learned the hard way a few years ago.
