GSL-SE Fuel Injector Connectors - Polarity?

Hello All,

I bought some new GSL-SE fuel injector connectors and wanted to make sure before i start cutting wires that I don't need to worry about the polarity of the wires. The new ones are not marked, but the wires from the harness are clearly marked different colors (orange/black)

Thoughts?

Is it not possible to duplicate the new connector wire position by aligning both old and new side by side?

Unfortunately the connectors disintegrated into pieces before I had a chance to match them up.

Black/yellow tracer is 12volts Brown/yellow tracer is signal from ecu.
Pic of injector connector to help you with orientation.
Some advice if i may... i see those butt/crimp connectors next to injector pigtails. You're going to want to solder and heat shrink those connections. For a roadside temporary repair those would be good to get you home. Moisture, corrosion is inherent with those crimp connectors, with corrosion comes extra resistance, voltage drop and eventually driveability problems. Soldering gets you near 0 ohms extra resistance in the connection and heat shrink makes connection weathertight.
As an alternative,if your injector wire terminals are in good shape(appear so in pic)you could release the wired terminals from your new connector and slip your original wires/terminals right into connector body. Easy peasy!

Ah thank you for that! I actually have the soldering gun ready to go on these. I was about to start cutting wires and thought I'd ask. Yes definitely soldering and heat wrapped for something this important.

Thanks for taking the time to post!

its good practice to have the positives on the same side of the injector, but it doesn't matter which way it goes.

second, you may want to see if you can slide the pins out of the new connector, and plug the old ones in, if it does its much easier
