GSL-SE ecu question

Searched already and couldn't find a legit answer.

What are the MINIMUM pins needing to be hooked up to run a GSL-SE 13B in another car? According to the FSM, it looks like connector B-32 sends 12V power to terminal 'A' on the ECU. B-32 also looks like it sends a trailing coil signal to the ECU terminal 'U'. What else is really needed as this is a fuel-only (and emissions, but I don't really care about that) ECU?

B-32 has four pins, but two ring out to terminal 'A' and two ring to terminal 'U'... any reason for this? I don't have the car handy to determine where these came from originally. Just trying to get the engine to fire in a non-rx7 chassis. Thanks!

A little elaboration might help....

Right now, all I have running to the ECU is a 12V constant to terminal A on the ECU (FSM states its the main relay) through the fusible link from a donor car (it is getting power) and then I have the tach signal from the trailing coil going to the 'U' terminal. The rest of the harness remains as-is from a GSL-SE, emissions and all.

What I'm a bit lost on is that the B-32 connector that I'm using to provide terminal A with power and terminal U with the signal has four pins. I'm only utilizing two? What are the other two pins used for on B-32?

I have a feeling I'm not sending the injectors a pulse signal (ground) which is why it isn't firing over. The car runs fine if I provide fuel by hand (aka.. squirter into AFM or vac line).

Not sure what connections they are called but the fuel injectors go to the ecu on the far right hang side top two. Also they tap into the positive wires that run from the ecu to the coils. If you download the wiring schematic its on page 16 of it. Best tool ever if your getting into the wiring stuff..

I have the schematics and they are currently hooked up that way, but still nothing. That's what throwing me. I've done many swaps before but never with this ECU/engine setup and I'm not sure if it needs anything else like another signal other than just the power and the trailing coil signal...

thanks for the reply....

Not sure about B-32 wires. Wiring diagram looks like they jump from one side of the plug to the other. Too late to go look at the car. There is a Red/white power wire that runs from the other main relay to ECU terminal V. I"d try connecting that also.

I noticed "V" before and it goes through the X-07 connector which is an interior under dash connector. It's pin is just below the "U" which is the trailing signal so maybe they are related. I somewhat ruled it out as it was an interior power connector, but I'll run some juice to it tomorrow and see what happens.

Just a follow up... the engine is running from the ECU now. You do need to power both the V and M terminals. The problem now is the engine revs up for a few seconds, then dies. ECU cuts off the injectors... thinking it can be a few things. Will be double checking for any vac leaks and the AFM connection tomorrow, but it may be the circuit relay under the dash (we dont have one) as that relay drops 'M' voltage from 12V during cranking to less than 1.5V once running.

Either way, just thought I'd share. Once this is all done, I'll document exactly what is needed to make the GSL-SE 6 port run in any car, lol...
