gsl rearend
Just came across a pretty good deal on a gsl limited slip rear end. I was wondering if the Gsl retains the 4x110 bolt pattern? Just bought set of Kosei K1's and dont feel like buying new wheels already.
Also other than the proportioning valve and master cylander is there anything else I should get with it to make the swap into my 85 gs?? |
yes the gsl's still have 4x110
how much are kosei k1's again? i always forget you also need the ebrake cables and the hoses to the brakes i think, but im sure im leavin somethin out |
right on. the Kosei's I have are a 15x7 wheel weighing inat a scant 11.5lbs. they cost $149 from tirerack.
byu the way anyone know what the stock 13" wheel weighs?? |
Just make sure that the rear is NOT from a GSL-SE! They have a different bolt pattern.
Get the e-brake cables if you can. They are different. |
yea made sure it wasent from an se. good ol' 12a GSL
|
Don't need to swap the prop valve or master cylinder.
|
COOL! less work!.
|
the master cylinder IS different for drums or discs. All the Mazda parts schematics that I have show the same part number for the proportioning valve however. I'd get the master cylinder.
|
Yes, it's different, but it will still work. (In fact some people swap drum-car masters onto their disc cars!)
|
all right well I think im gonna get it. hopefully be in by next week. Driving my baby to Reno for the Reno Air Races.

Good luck, you will love the LSD!
