Getting around to covert to regular studs

I'm gonna go from our crappy bolt studs to the press on from behind ones. I wanna do this so eventually I wanna get wider diamond racing wheels which require you use a 45 degree pitch lug nut. The problem is I have drum rear, and I guess I have to pull the axles out. To do this do I need anything else for inside of the diff like that weird ass crush nut or whatever? I think i'll replace the the seals while its off, thats not bad. Also Is there a gasket that goes from the diff to the axle case? I cant seem to find one if so. Cant wait till next week for autocross. I run CSP.

Press in studs?

No no no. You just use the thread in studs.

edit to clarify: There is no way you will get press in studs on the front, since there's not enough room behind the hub section of the rotor. You could do it in the rear, but.... why bother?

You autox? You a memebr of Mazdacomp right? They sell the screw in studs in a couple of different lengths.

Ok thanks guys. No I'm not a member of mazdacomp because I just started racing this year, and when I wanted to join mazda comp,I couldnt prove I raced.

Well if you have 2 event results, sign up man! They are the best.

Anex 570 07-11-04 07:42 PM

Just one question... How do I give the results to them, I mean I dont have anything in paper, but the web results are there ?

peejay 07-11-04 07:57 PM

Hmm... Two results eh...

I now have two SCCA Rallycross results.

One more question, do I have to be a member to get those studs, or will they just charge me more? Its gonna take 2 weeks to clear.

Rx7carl 07-11-04 08:24 PM

You have to be a member to buy from them.

When I rejoined, I used cut and paste and emailed results from 2 of my club's events. Its pretty quick.
You can save money with them. They are also very good answering questions.
