Fuel System problem or carb?
So a few days ago i decided to push my car to its limits to see what it can do.
I was going to high rpm's but when i reached 5000 rpm the car starts to lagg like if it not getting fuel or air. The car feels like its gonna turn off or like its running out of gas. A Friend told me it could be my fuel filter so i changed it today and when i had it up in the air, i ran it and it didnt show no problem. i drove it around the block and i pushed it and there was no problem until. i tried it again a few minutes later and now it started acting up at 6000 rpm what can be causing this problem? |
Fuel pump may be getting old or weak or the cats are clogging up.

Start with tuneup items, which probably need to be addressed anyways. Plugs, cap, rotor, maybe plug wires, and then set the timing.
If you continue to have issues, it could be the pump (as T stated) or a clogged jet inside the carb (rebuild). Good luck... . |
symptom is kind of vague.
check the normal tune up stuff, plugs, air filter, cap and rotor also the spark plug wires are important. the manual has you check resistance. could also be melted/plugged cats, rotary NEEDS a free flowing exhaust |
