Fuel pump question
 

I have a GSL-SE converted to 13B w/ RB Holley 550, so the fuel pump is not OEM. Honestly, I'm not sure whether its a stock fuel pump from another model or just an aftermarket cause it was put in by someone else. Anyway, The fuel line coming out of the fuel pump sprung a leak and when I pulled it off to replace it fuel kept dumping out, not trickling. I thought the fuel pump when it was off would keep the gas from coming out. Is that not the case, or is my fuel pump bad? Thanks for the help in advance!

if the pumps bad then youll no it, the car wont start. a awy to check if the pumps working is disconnect the sending line to the carb and turn the key if fuel comes out its working if not its not. i reccomend the FSM for your ownershiip of vehicle.

nope fuel pump is fine.. the fuel is draining through the pump by gravity, no worries

Thanks for the quick response. I thought that was the case, but I thought I remembered taking off the fuel line before and nothing coming out. Oh well, I guess I was imagining things.
