fuel pump

Sorry this may be a dumb question, but I don't know a whole lot about fuel cells, and I did try to search it. I was wondering if you can use an in tank fuel pump in a fuel cell, instead of an inline? I am putting a 13b TII into my 80 and was told that I would have a problem with fuel starvation with my original tank. Fuel cell even the best and easiest idea?

Some fuel cells are set up for intank pumps, some cells are even foam filled to help prevent starvation. There are other ways around the issue besides a fuel cell though. One being a surge tank, the other is modding the oem tank to take an FC intank fuel pump. I'm in the process of option 2 for a couple of northern members.

I'm working with S3 tanks, haven't studied the S1 tanks for viability.

I chose the surge tank option with my set up. Got it from tweak it in Austrailia. They have one for a first gen.

I chose the GSL-SE tank for my EFI swap mainly because one became available. I probably would have gone with a surge tank otherwise. I'll have to use an inline pump but I'm ok with that.

Why is it that a 2nd gen pump will work to solve my fuel starvation problem?

Fuel cell will cost you at least $1000 after it is all done - I don't think you want to go that route.
