All you guys will Holley regulators - where did you put them?

I'm looking for a place on my '85. The problem is that it has full emissions, A/C lines, cruise control, the works. I want to put the reg as close to the carb as possible but there's just no room anbywhere! I can't ditch the rat's nest and put it directly on the block like last time. Ditching the A/C to clear firewall space also is not an option. I'm just curious to see what you all out there have come up with, maybe help give me some better ideas. :)

i have mine on the firewall, near the windshield washer resevor.. with keeping your heater and a/c it is hard to get it much closer , while staying on the firewall..

look where mine is, you could probally make it work with the a/c lines still there.

Not with the stock aircleaner. :( Thanks for the ideas. Anyone else?

I have all the stuff, ac, rats nest etc. I still managed to put it on the firewall. On the driver's side right up close to the hood latch. It's tight, there's not a spare inch of room, but it works. I had to use some 90 degree fittings on it though.

Well guys, I found a place for it...

(drum roll)

I mounted it directly to the side of the air cleaner. Drilled two holes and screwed it right in. The reg input is pointing roughly towards the distributor, the fuel pressure gauge is mounted on top (using a 90 deg. fitting just like the last install), and the output goes down, threading through the tangle of cables going to the carb, up through part of the rat's nest, and going right to the carby. According to the gauge, I have 1psi, but I know the gauge is a fair bit off so it's more like 2.5psi.

The car was transformed! Much better fuel economy and on-highway driveability. I'll have to fine-tune it later when I get the O2 sensor put in (I'll just swap the whole pre-modified header from WT onto it, as it already has the flange ground out - Pacesetter junk) but for now, it works great!

I'll see how long it'll be before I can put pics up - my camera is dead, the best thing I can do is get it on videotape and then hook it up to the vidcap board. Quality sux that way but it's better than nothing...
