fuel filter stuck

I had to cut the fuel line to remove the filter this time. With so much pulling and twisting, the poor little plastic fuel filter was leaking gas. Next time there won't be enough fuel line if I have to cut it.

Question is>>>what are the tricks to remove a stubborn fuel filter?

12A ? I grab the fuel line with a set of pliers and twist it and the filter in opposite directions. I can't imagine you did not try that.

If it does break, you can always use pliers to smoosh the line so the plastic deforms enough to remove with needle nose pliers.

Yup, pliers and twisting it. You will need a vise grip on the one line anyway unless you like gas in
the eyes.

needle pliers, next time !!

I was thinking about something to heat up the rubber. Non flame like. Or make something like a mini crow bar. Something like........

I put a pair of those screw type hose clamps on mine when I redid it.
