FRONT suspension for '79?

What are the options? all I have found is nothing, I assume I will get the derogatory search and ground control, the later may be an option but they do custom stuff? correct? and custumis expensive, and expensive and poor do not go well together.

anything?

Change it over to 84 - 85 and then do your upgrade.

Derogaroty Ground Control here.

Me I plan to change to the 85 front, coil-overs, ST front bar, and hope someone has made a better brake kit that will still fit in 13's.

you will have to convert your front suspension to the S2 or S3 (1981-85) struts in order to get aftermarket struts.

is there any other alternative to swapping out the front end? KYB strut inserts are the only thing ive fount for '79-'80 rx7s and i heard theyre not that good. what is involved with the front suspension conversion? also, if i get new wheels, would i still have the 4x110 bolt pattern? i dont want to have to buy 2 different sets for thr front and back.

You can change to the 84 or 85 non SE front and still keep the same bolt pattern

The swap is 4 nuts, and Two bolts. There is a little bit of trouble changing the thread pitch on the brake lines but that is really the only hard part.

is it worth swapping out the front, or should i just buy tokico hp's for the rear and KYB for the front?

i would say swap ... and as far as the lines ... it only take 30 minutes to make new ones and install them.

has anyone actually done this?(I know Ive heard of such things being done by the rotary elders, but never actually seen it done) I dont have an FB to look at, and I would like to know for sure that the S2,3 assembly will just bolt up before purchasing anything.

thanks for the options
