Front Strut Tower upgrade?

I have a '79. Recently I purchased the strut towers off of a '85 GSL. I am doing the upgrade so that I would have the option for adjustable shocks in the front. Well my problem is that I have already purchased crossed drilled rotors to fit the '79 and stainless steel brake lines to fit the older thread. So in hopes that I can still use them I want to mount a '80 piston style caliper to the '85 strut tower and use my cross drilled rotors. I have two problems. One have no idea if the '80 style caliper will match up and the bearings are different on the '85 hub. Has anyone come across this before and is it possible? Thanks in advance, Bob

I'm kind of lost too but here's what I can tell you. The 84-85 hubs use larger spindles so a 79-80 rotor will not fit. I see no reason the 85 strut tower won't work, have you tried it?

Are you talking about stut towers as in the brace that goes accross your motor, or are you refering to the wheel hubs that the brake calipers mount to? Your wording is confusing.

Yeah, really, take deep breath and restate.

To make things easier, strut towers are the part of the body that the struts bolt to.
