Stock bumper...

wjk0817 12-31-10 02:43 AM

stock bumper, fb looks well with the curves. Not box

Siraniko 12-31-10 08:27 AM

junk the air dam. besides, pasadena has too many speed bumps or humps whatever you want to call it and they are even larger and higher than the ones in LA.

patmac6075 12-31-10 08:28 AM

I hate it!
So, take it off immediately and sell it to me

Just kidding, I like it

orion84gsl 12-31-10 08:31 AM

Looks better without.

G-man 12-31-10 09:29 AM

I prefer the stock look as well.

I like it both ways actually. It's your car and your money, make it how YOU like it! I find that my first impression is normally the true one. Your gut reaction. Nothng wrong with thinking it through but sometimes the more I pick it apart, the more confusing it gets.

rx71king 12-31-10 11:18 AM

i like it ..but sooner or later it will crack from you hitting some thing.

rotaryboy23 12-31-10 11:27 AM

If it fit properly I would like it. I'm assuming you just mocked it up like that?

It's the same one that I cut apart to make my front end.
Nice flares/wheels. Sweet looking combo.

IMHO, it would look at it's best with the air dam on and flares paint-matched, but to each their own.

84stock 12-31-10 12:32 PM

stock for me, unless you do a TII transplant and need a home for an inter-cooler

Ken7102 12-31-10 03:44 PM

go stock

88blkiroc 12-31-10 03:55 PM

If you dont like it Ill take it off your hands for you ;)

Hyper4mance2k 12-31-10 04:06 PM

Put it on nao!

Rotaryfreak702 12-31-10 04:15 PM

That looks sexy either way.

I have that bumper as well (Mariah Mode).

Are those zg flares?

Rotaryfreak702 12-31-10 04:17 PM

Oh and what's the specs on your wheels please.

DarrenTRS 12-31-10 06:32 PM

Specs on the wheels from the wheel topic (I keep it on hand for reference when I do my ZG flares ):

Hayashi (HRE) 504s
16x8 -6 and 16x8.5 -6

I also say nay.

T-SMASH 12-31-10 06:55 PM

When mounted and ducted correctly it makes a huge difference in stability and steering feel at anything over 60-65mph.

I say "with" but then again I have been running that front for years.

I say, install it now so we can use it as a snow plow for tomorrow's Rose Parade. It is so freaking cold in LA right now, down in the 50s, and I bet we will have probably 10-15 ft of snow tomorrow. I'm getting ready to hibernate.

We're in the '50s in Michigan today. Here, that constitutes a heat wave. I can see the pavement in front of my house for the first time in over a month.

As for the snow, we still have some left on the grass. If you don't get any today, PM me, and I'll send you some.

Jibaro 12A 01-01-11 09:26 AM

It looks good either way. Im a fan of stock lines though.

so nay it is!! i think im just gonna sell it now. make me an offer someone. i wont ship it

Rotarx7 01-02-11 01:58 PM

i also have a 3pc spoiler if anyone is interested

RotoricanNY 01-02-11 09:35 PM

Yeah Never been a fan of the "box" look. plus airdamn with no side skirts or rear bumper just makes the front look like a plow.

I ran that air dam for years on my 82'. I loved the look and put a set of rectangular headlights in as the foglights (wired both hi/low with a relay). Insane visibility at night. It will grab speedbumps and potholes, so don't cry the first time it gets scraped.

However, over the years I have grown to like the stock front end, and that is how I keep my SE now.

Rotary13B1 01-03-11 12:21 PM

That air dam does gets scraped A LOT! There's just soo much overhang.

and you wish you have an overhang :lol::lol:

CPekel 01-06-11 09:45 PM

Just cut it a bit higher then. I've seen similar bars to that with an inch or so taken off the bottom, helps immensely I've heard.
