Friday the 13th pwn3d me!

Soooo, this morning I wake up, drive my friend home, give my car a rinse and go out to meet up with a friend. All smooth sailing right?

Well, after going for a cruise for a bit, my friend gets in my car as a passenger to go for a little rip. We go out and there is a little bit of spirited driving. Unfortunately it didn't cross my mind that it rained a little earlier, just enough to bring some oil up. Long story short, corner, spinning, ditch.

So that was pretty shitty, but my bad, we're fine, the car has very very minimal damage. Muffler crimped closed in the middle and front air dam a little cracked and half off. No problems. It looked like one of the fuel lines to the carb was leaking (didn't know it was just the breather) so instead of trying to get the muffler off and get it going, might as well goto Lordco quick and get some fuel line. I'd hate to fuck something up when starting it.

Welllll, we get back and lo and behold, my Racing Beat race wires have been stolen. Some asshole stole all of the ignition wires off a car clearly in a crash.

After a very long hunt, I find ignition wires through a friend and head back. We take the front airdam off, after a looot of work, get the muffler off, and get the wires on. Well, it seems that some of the wires have shorts, and it won't fire up. It's getting late (around 11:30, this all started before 5) and my friend needs to work early, so I drop him off and come home (in one of my dad's work trucks).

Soooooooo, I get ahold of the great people of Revscene on their meet, and arrange to get picked up, and pull the wires from one of my LeBarons. All is good and we get there around 1am.

Guess what's waiting for me? SOMEONE CRASHED INTO MY CAR WHILE I WAS GONE!! The driver side door is crumpled in and there's damage in the rear driver side quarter panel.

A call to the police later, I get ANOTHER crash report thing, same cop, and the same tow truck driver comes out to tow my car to the impound, I'm making a claim on this one.

Btw, the truck I picked of my dad's, when driving it, was totally screwed. The battery connection was crap and had to be continually jiggled to start it up. I brought it back down with the other trucks when I finally got home and almost ended up going over a bank, POS!

Yup, beautiful day.

Pic of my car, excuse the darkness:

GODDAMN, that sucks.... bad. I feel for ya man. I'd sue the shit out of the guy that hit your car while it was in the ditch, if you can find him.

Its amazing what will happen on the 13th. At work yesterday, 6 customers totals were $6.66. Wierd huh?

Maybe the guy who crashed into your car, thought that the racing stripes were the stripes on the road.....and just kept going....?

well, for me, yesterday was fine... my brother's wedding (yeah, i know....). Everything went off without a hitch.

today however, my 18th birthday so far, has been complete and utter shit. I woke up early because my back hurt and i couldnt sleep, got to work on my car (coilovers, struts, swaybar). Start to disassamble the 80, and in the process, shear off one of the 17mm bolts that held the drivers side strut on.... great. Then, i broke one of the end links, figures, since i didnt buy new ones (must've slipped my mind).

then i start to tear apart the 79 for that bolt and 2 endlinks, well the bolt came out easy, and the passenger side endlink came right out, but the drivers side would not... torch, beating, liquid wrench, nothing worked. Searched all over creation for endlinks, but of course, no one has them.

back to the stuck bolt, yeah, it wouldnt come out after 2 hours of laboring on it. Took it to meineke, they took it out with a cutting torch, even they had trouble with it.

get home, sky is looking horrible. I had to put my car back together with the same stock crap, but minus my front swaybar, so it's worse off than before. On top of that, i couldnt get my wheels back on when it started to rain torrentially (remember that horrible looking sky). So there i am, then having to put the 79 back together so i can get the jack out from under it, so i can get the wheels back on the 80, in the pouring rain. Finally get all that back together.

and to top it all off, my father and i got into a huge fight, and now he's not speaking to me. On my 18th birthday.

isnt 18 supposed to be a good birthday?

Bad things happen on big days...

On my first day of high school, I woke up to find my mum throwing my dad's belongings out on the front lawn...

But there are the little moments that make it all worthwhile. Friday the 13th brought me a new set of brake calipers, so I just had to smile :D

You can't see the damage well because the car is black and glossy. Worse than it looks kinda:

With the front airdam off now, at my friends place, and damage behind bush, hehe:
