Found a buried treasure,40 DCOE and short intake.

probably asked a hundred times now, but.

We found a 40 DCOE and a short intke manifold in a box in a junk car we were scrapping. Car has a Mikuni and long intake as well.

Whats the advantage of the weber over a YAW Nikki. since I have it Im kinda interested in what the gains may be.

Stock port 12a built to SCCA IT specs, carbon seals, lightend and balanced etc
has an MSD 6t as well. and Im running both leading plugs directly off coils.

Any help is great, the dumbest question is the one not asked.

short intake = more top end

^What he said.
Post pics. I'd love to get my hands on a setup like that.

long intake == more streatable. torque lower down in the rpm range
short intake == more topend, torque moves up in the rpm range

The 40 DCOE is barely adequate for your setup. You need a 44 or a big boy
50 mm to give you good performance. The 40 will result in a lean top end and
loss of performance up top I suspect.

I'm pretty sure the Yaw nikki will outperform the 40. Let me know if your getting
rid of the Yaw :)

keep the manifold... sell the carb....

the mikuni will bolt up to that manifold too... would work pretty well.

I ran a 40 on mine, it simply doesnt flow enough air. So yeah go big or go home lol

A 44 is not even big enough for a big streetport
