ford 8.8 conversion/driveshaft question
 

ok, now i am looking into doing a ford 8.8 rear end swap into my soon to be turbo `12a,, so i had a few questions, to those of you that have done this swap, like obviousely you needed to have a custom driveshaft made, and also did you use a turbo2tranny,

what kind of offset difference does this unit have, will it be harder to find wheels, i have the fc front subframe swap so all i need now is the turbo2 hubs etc and ill have the same boltpattern in front as the ford 8.8

any tips or suggestions, or if you just wanna tell me its not worth it or whatever, im up for it, its still just an idea, just the least expensive one i can think of,

Don't bother. Wayyyy to much trouble and money.

The stock rear will work fine on the street, with street tires.

The only reason for an 8.8 swap would be for straight up
drag racing with slicks and 7000 RPM clutch drops.

I know a turbo'd 13b with driveline from small axel 12a. Blew the rear on road race track with R compounds.
