Float Seating
 

So how long did it take for your floats to seat after you rebuiltthe carb/replaced the seats?

What was your method of seating them?
- Rubber mallet to the top of the float seat etc.

They don't seat. They float. If they don't float, the carb will flood. A plastic hammer works for me.

Did i say float, i meant float valve o_o

I'll save you some emberassment. The correct terminology here is needle and seat. If you were to attempt a search on 'float valve' on this forum, most of the results would be about valve float at high RPM in piston engines.

Yes that's what i meant to say. Boy do i feel noob...


Anyways...my needle valve isn't seating correctly. What can i do to seat it correctly...anything? Other than tapping ontop of the floats?
