fender placement
 

I and my friend were working on all the dents and dings on the left front fender when we decided to opent he door. It bent the fender up really good. I took it off and was going to use another that I have laying around. Only problem is that I want to line it up in the correct position. I was wondering is someone had a pic or could take a pic of the placement of there fender. The section in question that we have is the top right, where its closest to the door and windshield. As of now I think we have about a 1/2" of space but I don't know if thats normal or if it should go all the way in. I don't have a orginal car to look at and want to get it as perfect as possible. If you could take a picture with a ruler or some thing to demenstrat depth or angles.. really any help would do. Just don't tell me to take the car to some qualifyied shop for body work because this is my project car and I love to get my hands dirty. :ylsuper:

Use a paint stir stick to gap the line between the door and fender. Lay a straight edge across the door and fender to make sure the fender doesn't stand proud in relation to the door.
Make sure the rear top bolt and the ceter rear bolt behind the splash panel are tight.
