The rotors attach to the hubs. FYI. It's a two piece unit unlike the fb's one piece.

the ad says billet aluminum in one place and zinc plated in another. QUOTE bwaits "You can not zinc plate aluminum. -billy" Billy, the normal zinc plating used for steel cannot be used... but if Aluminum has to be zinc Plated, Zincating is the first step after pre treatment, followed by 8-10 microns in Alk Cn free Zinc, rinses, activation, Chromate then Drying. Anyway, you're right in that they're probably not doing that. But it is possible so it didn't cross my mind. Think they have zinc plated steel hubs and aluminum rotors? Or aluminum hubs and zinc plated steel rotors? The rotors either way dont sound appealing to me. Regardless I still haven't found a better option than converting to mount the gen2 4 piston stuff for performance and cost. |
Is upgrading the brake rotor size and calipers really worth it? Getting competition pads will improve stopping power dramatically without breaking the bank on conversion kits.

True, and bigger brakes wont mean squat if you dont increase your tire traction.Remember, the tires stop the car,not the brakes..............
