FC Front subframe, FC rear brakes, keep 4 lug for 14" wheels?

I'm curious if anyone here has done this?

I've done the FC Front subframe with T2 brakes and GSLSE rear with 5 lug swap before on another 1st gen. This time around, I would like to keep the 4x114.3 lug pattern and still fit 14" wheels since i have a few rare Old School JDM wheels.. I just dont remember if the T2 brakes would fit 14" wheels. Anyone know for sure?

My plan right now is to swap in a FC front subframe from a 4 lug base model. Then convert my stock GS (Drum brake) rear to FC 4 lug disc brakes to keep everything matching. 2nd option for the rear is to use gslse complete rear as is.

How set on using the T2 calipers are you? I only ask because I'm using S4/4 lug single piston calipers on two of my FC subframe swapped FB's and am quite happy with the braking performance, at least for an aggressive street car. Since FC's had 14 on the base models, they will easily fit on there. Also - the 4 lug FC calipers are the same (besides the bracket) as the GSL-SE fronts, so it's a perfect match for the SE rears...

Just an option for you.

I've never tried fitting 14's on my T2 caliper equipped FB so I can't say for sure if they'll fit or not...

From what I have read here, TII brake calipers require you to use a 15" wheel.

i would prefer your route. I'm hunting down a 4lug FC front subframe set up now.

It's quite simple and works well for a street car. I'm planning to go with T2 front calipers at some point on my street car, but really "just because" - I don't really need it for the type of driving that thing sees...

Other than the 4 lug hubs and calipers, the rest of the parts can be sourced from any year/model FC as it's mostly the same. The S4 control arms are better because you can change ball joints and there are 3 different Rack and Pinion's to choose from (I like the S4 manual rack myself, but it is the slowest of the 3). Otherwise it's all the same...

One minor note - the Convertibles have a slightly different crossmember, it has some tabs back by the rearward control arm mount, which use a brace that ties it to the FC chassis to help stiffen it since it's missing the roof. The rest of the crossmember mounting points and geometry are all the same, and it can be used on an FB (I have one on one of my Fb's)
