exhaust system questions

i want to getthe most power out of my rx7, i want the racing beat street port exhaust system, but i thought instead of having the two presilencers can i just have regular piping from the RB header to the RB muffler?? i would experience a decrease or increase of power compared with the two presilencers?? i want my car to have all the proformance and sound like a beast as well, any one with any other suggestions??

no power losses if you dont use the presilencers, and it will sound like a beast!!!! the dual system will give you the most power!!!!

The long-primary setup is more appropriate for use on street-ported motors. Stock port motors may not see much power increase, if any, and then any increase will all be at the extreme top end. Collecting the two pipes earlier will move the torque peak down in the rpm range.
But if you're using a street-ported motor, the long-primary setup is the way to go.

I am getting my exhaust custom made but i do have the rb road race header.. should i cut off the flange and make the 2 pipes go back further no collected and collect them later? would i notice a diffrence in preformance? i was just going to go 2.5 after the header to the muff.. :) thanks

BCTY you should check out my setup sometime, ive got headers to a cat (not hooked up using as a moderate presilencer :D), straight pipe to a straight through SS muffler :D its prety loud id say...
