enkei wheels

I just picked up a set of enkei wheels. They were on an sa for who knows how long, but are in excellent shape. The problem is, the car they are going on should have about ~250hp when its done, and the rims are only 5.5" now, im going to use them for awhile until i have the cash to buy better wheels... but then i got to thinking. The ones I have are a two piece wheel, they are the enkei apache V wheels in a 4x110 pattern 13x5.5. Can i find an enkei wheel in a 13x7 and swap the center to make a 13x7 4x110 wheel? I was looking briefly online and it seems easier to find 13x7 enkei wheels in different bolt patterns.

here is a pic of the wheels i just picked up, for a SONG!

all 4 are in the same condition, and have centercaps. Im going to polish the lip better and re clear them.

Nice score! Those look great, and with a little more cleaning, should be even better.
I don't know the answer to your question, and I've never heard of anyone doing that myself. I'm sure your theory is correct and could work, but I'm thinking that you might spend more money getting that done than just buying the wheels in the correct width you want anyway. Or at least close to it. I guess it depends on how cheap you can find the wider two piece wheels for. You would also have to make sure the bolts line up from the center section to the hub.

Of course, 5.5 inches wide and 250 HP won't be as FAST as the wider wheels, but I bet it would be a lot more, ummm, grin inducing. ;-)

Thank you, ill have them looking new in no time! I was thinking that it might be hard to match up some 13x7 wheels, then who knows about the offsets.... these may be up forsale or trade soon lol I'd really actually like 15x7's but i dont want to run adapters.

BTW, what would be a reasonable price to pay to have a rim drilled to 4x110? Im not even sure if i could buy just a wheel black from anywhere, but that would really open some options.
