Engine rebuild.

Ok I have begun saving up for an engine rebuild. My big question is, who is better Atkins Rotary or Pineapple Racing?? Their prices are a bit different.

Here is what I am planning on:
Small street port,
Possible oil system rework
and the longest lasting rebuild.

Both these places are run and operated by people who really know what they're doing when it comes to rotary engine work. I would imagine the quality of the rebuild would be about the same. How long it lasts depends more on how long you allow it to last. Break it in right and don't redline through every gear ten times a day and either should last you many, many miles. Don't forget to take it real easy for the first thousand or so miles. Basically, don't drop the engine in and go looking for a race in the same week and you'll be fine.

I have heard very good things about Pineapple, but I have first hand knowledge of Atkins. I put an Atkins rebuild in my 90 vert. Very happy so far. They shipped quickly, no hidden surprises etc. I only have 1K on the engine so keep that in mind. The thing I liked about Atkins was the 2 year warranty.

KDR is closer to home if that makes a difference. i have had no dealings with any of these companies, but have heard nothing but good things about them.

Hmm. Ya I had talked to the Atkins' guys but wasn't sure if Pineapple was any better. esp. since I have been hearing that name alot on the forum.
