Engine Problems

ok, sorry to start another thread, but i think my engine is ****ed. has anyone put a v6 in one? if so how hard would it be?

RotaryRyan Aug 19, 2004 01:54 PM

you dont have to be sorry for starting threads.lol.

I know people have put v8's in 'em. Ive never seen a six, but that doesnt mean anything.

Theres links and stuff for piston conversions. I just dont know them. I guess this is prettty much a free bump.

It may actually be cheaper and easier to put another rotary in there. It's a 12A? Those can be had for under $500 in most cases, and well under $300 in some.

And, it's always easier to slap the original engine in there than some engine the car was basicly designed to NOT have ;)

If it is a 12A beast, why not search down a 13B for not much more cost. Hell, go exotic with a 20B!

mmmmm 20b in a first gen *drools*, i have yet to see one where i live but i am hoping someone does it soon

I would definately love to have a 20b in my car. Hell, I'd like to have my car running though!

ive seen a grand national engine in one...lol

Don't go pistons man. Just stay with the rotory. If you feel you MUST have a piston engine at least put an 8 in it, don't bother with a 6.

thanks for the responses. i think i'll just try and see what the problem is with this one. do rotary's have timing? lol, i'm new to the rotary engine.
