Engine Flooding.

I have begun to use my FB as my daily driver and twice today the car has flooded on me! I went to kroger pulled in parked it got some hamburgers and bacon then went back out to my car and tried to turn it on. Well it cranked cranked and cranked, I gave it some gas that didnt work.

So i tried to choke it that didnt work. So I just put the pedal to the floor to leave the air intake open. Well after it got enough air it started. Went i stopped the car i didnt floor it and give it lots of gas, just pulled in and stopped. Then after i dropped my brother off at his house i went to restart the car flooded again! wtf oh yeah the engine is a 12A. What causes a engine to flood? It has never had this problem i have been driving it regularly for the past week.

Is your hot-start assist motor still hooked up? Its a small box on the left of the engine bay with a cable running to the carb linkage.

Mine is disconnected and I've found that pulling the choke while starting hot does the trick.
