Engine cut off

I seem to be having a problem lately with my 1985 rx7 gsl-se (13b)I'll be driving down the road and my tach will drop to 0 rpms the car doesn't shut off though for atleast 30 seconds afterwards And its still very responsive till it does shut off . It also does it idleing in my driveway. There is no type of smoke coming out my car nor does it sound like anythings really wrong with it .ANybody have a idea?

Check the connections at the trailing ignitor, if they are tight and clean then when it does this pull over and take the blue connector from the trailing coil and attach it to the negative side of the leading ignitor. It sounds like the ignitor is going bad.

I'll translate Doc's post into NOOBish:
When it dies, pull the blue connector off the front coil, and hook it to the negative side of the rear coil. If the car then starts and runs, the trailing ignitor is probabley going bad. More about that, after this test has been done.

Almost forgot the part about checking connections on the ignitor. Ignitor is the little black boxes (2) on the side of the distributor.
