Emissions

How many mods can you preform in terms of carb, manifold, and exhaust before you can't pass emissions, even with magic emissions additives? What emissions additives are favorites here, anyway? I'm trying to plan my mods so I can reverse them and realisitcally plan on passing. Do most people just make friends with an emissions guy ;), or do you simply have to reinstall everything? Also, are there any engine mods that don't affect emissions much? I'm planning on a RB exhaust and Weber sidedraft setup.

how on earth do you expect a RB exaust system to pass emissions? Let alone one equiped with a weber????

With that combo, I bet the only way to pass is to work up a lasting friendship with your local emissions guy ;)

In Ontario, if it's 20 years old or older you're exempt from emissions testing. My 82 failed miserably in '01, but thanks to it now being considered "an antique", '02 cost me nothing!

Unfortunately seeing as you do not live in ontario, and may not have an 82 this likely means nothing to you. Sorry ;)
