electrical (tach) issues

my passenger headlight was stuck up, ran some voltage test & figured out it was the wire that sends a down signal that was not getting any voltage. any way, i spliced into the drivers harness, and ran a wire from the drivers down wire, to the passenger, basically using the driver wire for both. anyway, when i go to start my car this morning, the tach was really jittery, like the trailing ignitor is about to go out, so i've read. it only did this on idle, and then after a minute, it straitened out. fearing my half-ass wiring job was the cause, i removed the new wire, and am now leaving the lights up. This is my only car, and it makes a 60 mile drive everyday, but im scared it will shit outt on me some where far from home. does anyone know the current status of my ignitor? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I kind of got the same problem but mine dosen't leave the light up and I am corrently trying to figure this out. However, I have no tester with me to see were the voltage is having issue on my harnes. If I do figure something out I will let you know, I wish someone that had figure this out can post something about it. Good luck! and keep us posted.
