electrical problems (sorry...)
Two months ago started getting back into work mode with the 83 gsl. Got all the lights and things hooked up. Got the stripped carb back on. everything was working, lights, cabin lights, climate, the whole shebang.
Summer projects got done so wanted to get it started. Now there is no power. Nothing. Not a warning light, click, bing, nothing. WORST NIGHTMARE So I showed my 6 year old a continuity tester and multimeter and set him loose (battery is out) on the engine bay and hes showing me how it lights up. Positive Cable to Ground. I'm pulling maybe 10 ohms across the battery cables. Anybody have a suggestion as to where to start? If not, that's cool. I'm fine with venting. |

with no battery attached... I actually can't imagine.
but honestly, have you put in fuse links to the connections right next to the battery? Attachment 642554 it's 20A / 40A / 20A FLF fuse links. |
The fusible links are installed and have been checked. I pulled the center one (the one that goes to the alternator - the main I think) and all continuity went away. I guess I'm going to start my wiring harness project a little early.
